We are in the process of implementing programmes for the development of rural education systems through financial assistance and regular monitoring. This initiative will also include mentor programmes to identify and back deserving students.
Another novel initiative is the Food Bank plan. This simple but highly useful initiative works towards storing grains and food produce for times of calamity. It is a disaster redundancy system that stores excess food for the needy in times of floods and natural calamities; a phenomena that frequently occurs in Belgaum district.
